Files and preview
X6’s file and command tools work only inside the workspace folder set when the server starts. The Files tab in the agent panel lists it, with download and upload.
Preview
Section titled “Preview”Click a workspace file, or Preview on a file X6 created, to view it in the panel:
- PDFs and images show inline.
- Text, Markdown, CSV, and code show as text, with CSV rendered as a table.
- HTML opens as a live page with Desktop, Tablet (768 px), and Mobile (390 px) widths, Reload, Open in new tab, and a Source view.
How HTML previews are isolated
Section titled “How HTML previews are isolated”Each preview is served from a random URL that expires after about an hour and covers only that page’s folder. Relative CSS, images, and links work; nothing else in the workspace is reachable.
The page runs sandboxed with an opaque origin, so its scripts can’t read X6’s cookies, call X6’s API, or navigate the X6 window. Scripts and styles may load only from the page’s folder and a short CDN allowlist.
Documents
Section titled “Documents”X6 can create Word, PDF, ODT, and RTF documents, with real tables, through a local document server. If that server isn’t available, it falls back to a simpler converter.
