Release notes

  • New interface: a warmer palette and a single warm-gray dark theme, a reorganized Settings with a save bar, custom selects and toggles, device cards, grouped Compare models, and a new Skills picker that applies up to six Skills.
  • Local Compare model: the local model in Compare answers about ten times faster, with a 64K context.
  • Suggested next steps: X6’s offers at the end of an answer appear as buttons you can pick and send.
  • Build mode handoff: longer builds keep durable plan, task, review, and backlog notes in the project folder.
  • MCP sign-in: MCP servers that need OAuth sign in from Settings → Connectors. Tokens are kept in the Keychain.
  • Approvals: Auto-approve by default, with every automatic approval logged.
  • UI refresh: a sidebar with a rail, search, and pins; a searchable Library and Skills picker; persistent task status; and a compact Compare view.
  • Build mode: coding runs must pass tests, type checks, lint, build, and a headless browser check before they end as done.
  • Graphite restyle: new palette, self-hosted fonts, and a light/dark toggle with no flash on load.
  • Compare: live progress for answers and merge steps.
  • Voice: dictation, read-aloud, transcription, and hands-free Talk mode.
  • Document assistant: select text in the editor to rewrite it, or talk about the whole document and accept edits one by one.
  • MCP client: tools from MCP servers.
  • Documents: Word, PDF, ODT, and RTF output with real tables.
